Sarah Jessica Parker said it best in "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" when she said, "I love to dance". That is true, I do. So when a dancing friend was throwing a party, I was in. Then I found out it was going to be on a yacht cruising the bay, I was super excited. Then I found out we had to wear all white....hmmm. Not my most flattering color. What to do...
Dancing + Yacht + My Amazing Friends....oh yeah I went! It was a blast! I was a sweaty mess but enjoyed shakin my money maker all night long! Here are a few pics that highlight the evening! Don't be jealous!

Paint the Town Red...or Gray!?!?
Recently, our ward got together with the city of Costa Mesa to help paint and clean up a few houses here locally. It was a blast! The weather was gray and somewhat gloomy but it made for perfect painting conditions. We had a blast painting, chatting and getting a little dirty! We may not have been pretty that early morning but the house despite the gray color they chose, looked pretty darn good!

Los Doyers...
One thing I love about living in California is there is so much to do! Summer means time outdoors and of course...baseball. Both the Angels and the Dodgers are very close and I love going to live baseball games. Not so long ago, I headed to Dodger Stadium with some of my favorite boys. I loved the atmosphere, the game, and of course the "Dodger Dogs"! Go Doyers!

Hoffin and Poffin
Pardon the tardiness in these postings, but I am struggling to catch up! About two months ago, a friend called me to run in a relay race. I had always wanted to do one, but due to some crazy circumstances I was not able to sign up this year. When April called to ask me to take the place of someone on their team, I was thrilled! Not trained and ready but THRILLED. :)
For those of you who haven't heard of the ragnar races, our team of 12 ran from Santa Barbara to Dana Point, which is about 188 miles. We started the day early on a Friday morning, meeting around 5 am in order to drive to Santa B for the starting line! We were all bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready for the race.
When we arrived at the starting line, we were pumped and ready to go! Our team name was the Hustle Hoffs, a nod to our magnificent mascot, the one the only DAVID HASSELHOFF! That's right, "Don't hassle the Hoff". Thanks to him, we were a force to be reckoned with!
We spent a lot of time posing to prep for the race.
Then during the first few legs, we decided to finally decorate the vans. I am pretty sure we had people confused with statements such as "Don't Hussle the Hoff", "Hoff off!" and "Wax on Wax Hoff!"
We had a blast snacking, chatting, taking pictures, and oh yeah RUNNING. We did run and run and run... it was a blast and I loved every moment.
Due to some last minute changes, our van didn't get much down time. We tried to sleep in various places and times during those two days, but it didn't work out so well. I think we got a grand total of 90 minutes sleep time in over 36 hours. Needless to say, I was a little loopy by the end.
In those 36 hours without sleep, we made lots of funny memories. I could spend all day with some of the great quotable quotes, however they might not be funny to anyone else.
Some of the highlights were:
Helaman asking and asking and asking Megan about her citizen's academy. Yes the same questions everytime....
Bryan telling us we couldn't eat anything that made us smell better, like bacon.
And the fact that we were so tired at the end we left the van door wide open at IHOP, but it smelled so bad in there I am sure NO ONE even got close enough to try to steal anything!
ONE LAST THING:
We heard early in the race that a certain celebrity was running in our midst. I asked one of her alleged teammates if the rumor was true and we got confirmation and later photographic evidence of her presence. Hold on to your hats boys, its your childhood fantasy....the one the only...Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani-Amber)!!!!!

Desert Heat
A couple weeks ago, Kate and a few other friends were heading to Arizona for some desert sun. I was really excited to get some time with my cousin Brooke and my dear friend Ashley on her birthday!
The trip started really early but AMAZING with a morning at the lake. Ash's friends took her out for her birthday and she was nice enough to let me tag along. During the weekend, I got some pool time with Kate and fam, a little Cafe Rio , dinner at Texas Roadhouse and a crazy bash thrown by April's friend!
Ashley and I with the most adorable little guy!
After the lake trip, I was able to spend some time with my cousin, hanging at the pool with Kate and her fam, and dinner with friends. It was a quick but great trip! That night, we headed to the AZ party of the year! There were blow up toys, rock climbing walls, and a dance party. It was intense. Too bad I am not the pary animal I used to be! We had a great time seeing friends though.

I Wear My Sunglasses At Night....
One of my favorite things to do here in the OC is DANCE DANCE DANCE! Most Tuesdays you can find a group of LDS singles dancing the night away to the best of the 80's at Oceans in Laguna.
I have the time of my life singing at the top of my lungs and dancing to a little Pat Benatar, Bon Jovi, Madonna and Michael Jackson.

So if you are looking for a good time on Tuesday night, come join us for a little trip back to good times of the 80's!

On the VIP List....
A little over a month ago, I received an email about a secret Joshua Radin concert in L.A. He was going to be filming a video in this cool little restaurant near Dodger Stadium. Of course, I called Kate and we headed up right after work. We had to have our names on "the list" and everything to get in! What a great night!!!! It was a great atmosphere and we loved every moment being serenaded during our dinner! I love Joshua more and more everytime I see him.
I have some great videos of JR from that night! Check back I will be uploading soon!
